As we turn to the last of the 5 Solas, Soli Deo Gloria, Conrad Mbewe reminds us that 500 years ago the Reformation was a time of crystallising the truth’s of Scripture regarding salvation. To facilitate church growth the church in Rome had modified the way in which one could be saved, apart from what was clearly revealed in the Scriptures – by faith, by grace, through Christ alone. This way of salvation is ultimately not only for our benefit, it also manifests and displays the splendour of God’s glory before the watching world – angelic and human alike.
