We all have a worldview. All of us are born into a particular worldview and live out our lives within that set of ideas and beliefs. However, when we are saved by the grace of God through his love, our worldview changes. We embrace a biblical worldview.
Transformed by the Love of God
All at once a radical change takes place. We find ourselves behaving differently. We are beginning to live out of a biblical worldview. For our experience of the love of God – the work of God in salvation – radically transforms us. Your thinking is different. Your pattern of life changes because you have been saved! It is wonderful and astonishing!
The Impact of a Biblical Worldview
As Christians we are daily being conformed into the image of Christ. There is a reducing pattern of sin and increasing pattern of Christ-likeness. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control– these qualities flow into and through us as we daily become more and more like Christ. We have love for other believers and love one another. This is not just in word, but also in deed: we love one another practically.
However, we still live in this broken world. We live in a toxic time of tribalism, racism and political divisions. As a result, transformed believers should be distinct in our communities. We must stand out. Our churches must stand out. Lamps on stands characterised by love. Those who know God live a renewed life for they are strangers to the world. That is a biblical worldview. May that be true of us!
