As you take responsibility for growing in your Christian walk it is important to realise that Jesus has given you everything you need to live a godly life. Godliness refers to a God-ward attitude that makes you want to please God in everything you do. Your eating, your pleasure, your personal relationships, your work, your school, whatever it is, even going to church. In all aspects of your life you are moved by the fact that God must be honoured, God must be worshipped through it all.
Christ Equips Us for the Christian Walk
The growth of godliness flows both from Jesus’ divine power at work in us and through the growth of our knowledge of him and his promises to us. Therefore, we must seek Christ to be refreshed! We must strive to know more of this Jesus! For it is by this knowledge, and through his power, that our spiritual life and godliness is nourished. In this way we will grow and have the energy that enables us to live for God. We will have what we need to walk the path he lays before us. Praise God! The result will be effective and fruitful service of Him.
