So, if I am a baker, and you are a barber, when I get money from my baking and I give it to you for a haircut, both of us have been enriched, it is a win-win situation. There is value creation and there’s value exchange.

Gambling is an actual evil and it is sinful.

There Is Nothing Of Inherent Value

Now, when it comes to gambling what do you see happen? Now the first thing is this, there is nothing of inherent value. What the gambling houses or the betting companies are giving to you, they are selling their product is chance- chance of getting rich, chance of living the lifestyle that you want. But chance is not an inherent valuable commodity. That’s the first thing.

Gambling Is Based On A Win-Loss System

The second thing is this, it’s based on a win-loss system. If the betting company wins, then I lose, if I win then they lose. Now, most of the time they won’t lose. The house always wins. And so, when betting companies are declaring huge profits despite the fact that they are paying taxes, you know what has happened? They are taking money away. Because it’s not based on a system of wealth creation, it’s based on a system of wealth transfer.

Most Gambling Takes Place Amongst The Poor

Which leads to this third thing, where is that wealth transferred from? Most of the times it’s not the wealthy in society because they understand how this thing works, no. Most of the time it is taking money from the poor. Gambling preys on the poor.
