Paul wasn’t shy of hard work. He laboured immensely, exhorting pastors to do likewise. Only we mustn’t define this hard work by 21st century pace or rhythms.
In 2 Peter we see the pastor’s heart. It points people away from himself and onto Christ, content to be forgotten so long as the gospel is always remembered.
